With so many uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 virus, My family and I have made the very difficult decision to cancel our 4th Annual Saint Francis Hospital Fundraising 5 k walk & run event scheduled for Saturday October 3rd.Over the last several weeks, it has become quite clear that caution dictates that there will not be a time this year when it will be safe to gather in a large group.
The Beat Breast Cancer goals are to continue to provide the necessary diagnostic testing that every woman deserves, to educate on the importance of testing , early detection, self exams to help save lives. Each year our event attracts more than 100 participants and volunteers , and our first priority is the well-being of our community. However, now more than ever, I must raise funds to support this wonderful hospital, which is such an important part of my family’s life. The funds raised will provide vital programs and services at the Karl J. Krapek, Sr. Comprehensive Women’s Health Center at Saint Francis and we cannot let the women that are in need of this life saving diagnostic testing down. After a great deal of thought, I have decided to move forward with our fundraising efforts, and I invite you to consider making a contribution this year in honor of our doctors, nurses, CNA’s, environmental services, security staff, and all of the healthcare heroes serving our community everyday on the front lines at our beloved hospital. We have also created other ways to support this great cause . We will be selling T shirts on our website as well as breast cancer bracelets . Visit our products page for ordering. SIGN UP
